China has successfully produced "virgin-grade" polypropylene from 200,000 tons of mixed waste plastics.
Recently, the 200,000-ton/year demonstration project for comprehensive resource utilization of mixed waste plastics has made key progress in its products. After the liquefied plastic pyrolysis gas produced by the pyrolysis of low-value mixed waste plastics was delivered to customers, it was further separated and polymerized into polypropylene products with the same performance as primary-grade ones. All product indicators have passed the testing, realizing a closed-loop cycle of "waste plastics - plastic raw materials". Low-value mixed waste plastics have successfully completed the resource conversion into green chemical products.

From the recycling of low-value waste plastics, to the production of basic chemicals such as the three olefins and three benzenes using CPDCC catalytic cracking technology, then to further processing to enhance product value, and finally to the production of green circular products, the integration of the entire chain has broken the long-standing dilemma of difficult and effective recycling of low-value, contaminated plastics. It solves the problem of plastic pollution at the source, effectively reducing the consumption of virgin petroleum resources and carbon dioxide emissions. Recycled polypropylene products have gained recognition from downstream customers due to their consistent performance with virgin materials and their "green circular" attribute.
The integration of the entire industrial chain this time has proven that through technological innovation and industrial chain collaboration, waste plastics, once regarded as "garbage", can be fully incorporated into the circular economy system and become "urban mines". In the future, the company will continue to deepen collaborative cooperation with upstream and downstream enterprises, provide high-quality recycled raw materials for the recycling of regenerated plastics, and offer innovative solutions for the transformation of the petrochemical industry and the resource utilization of solid waste.
