The second working meeting for the formulation and revision of the national standard *Requirements for Production and Sales Management System of Recycled Plastics* was presided over by Wang Yonggang, Secretary-General of the Recycled Plastics Branch of China Material Recycling Association. The meeting brought together industry experts, enterprise representatives and relevant policymakers from across the country to jointly discuss the draft of this national standard.

The global market size of polypropylene (PP) recycled plastics has exceeded 8 million tons, with an annual growth rate of 12%, far exceeding the 3% growth rate of virgin PP. This "white gold", which accounts for 28% of global plastic consumption, is staging a counterattack from "white pollution" to "green circulation" through technological innovation and industrial chain collaboration.

With the construction of the domestic recycled plastic circular economy industrial park, it marks a crucial step forward for China's recycled plastic industry towards large-scale operation, intelligence, and green development. Centering on the core concept of "crushing 10,000 tons of large plastic pieces and reshaping the value of resource recycling", a comprehensive industrial chain base integrating waste plastic recycling, processing, and high-value utilization has been created. It is expected to process over 100,000 tons of various waste plastics annually, achieving a closed-loop development of "resources—products—recycled resources", and providing an industrial demonstration for the implementation of the "dual carbon" goal.

On March 14, 2025, the Launch Meeting of the National Standard for "Requirements of Production and Sales Management System of Recycled Plastics" and the First Working Meeting for the Formulation and Revision of the Standard were successfully held at the China National Institute of Standardization. More than 50 representatives from industry associations, universities, scientific research institutions, and enterprises participated in the meeting both online and offline.
